We have a soft spot for linen drapery. Like if you do too!

Linen textiles appear to be some of the oldest in the world; the history goes back thousands of years. Linen is harvested from the Flax Plant and dates back to ancient Egypt. When King Tut’s tomb was discovered, they found Linen drapes still hanging! 


Flax is grown in many parts of the world, but top quality flax is primarily grown in Western European countries. In very recent years bulk linen production has moved to Eastern Europe and China, but high quality fabrics are still produce in Ireland, Italy, Belgium and others.

In modern time line has been one of the most popular fabrics for window treatment, because it is relatively easy to take care of, since it resist dirt and stains, has not lint or pilling tendency and can be dry-cleaned. It is resistant to moths and carpet beetles, is also heavy, comes and a variety of colors and works wonder insulating. It is also more economical in comparison with silk.
